Jug transfer-printed in blue. On one side a cutter-rigged vessel with a square topsail, under sail, inscribed 'THE FLOWER' above. Decorative floral sprays are shown on the other side. Inscribed below the lip: 'JAMES PATEY SALCOMBE BORN 1792'. There is a floral border on the interior and exterior of the rim and flowers on the handle.
