Creamware plate with feather-moulded rim. Transfer-printed with a scene outside an inn, 'K of Prussia' on the sign. A sailor kisses his girl over a fence, another, also with a girl, is seated on a barrel, punch bowl in hand, the whole within a square scroll cartouche. On the rim 'JOHN & SARAH ARTIS, YARMOUTH, 1769' and sprigs of flowers.
