Bowl: Dia. 2.0" (5.1 cm) Gilt pocket compass in pinchbeck case, with 'D' ring at top. Fitted with a card locking mechanism operated by a lever at top of case.
Card: Dia. 1.7" (4.3 cm) White paper? with black markings. Graduated to 32 points and quadrantally in degrees. A brass jewelled pivot cap is mounted at centre.
Needle: Unsighted.
