Mahogany box, copper bowl, brass gimbals, lead weight, and paper card. Can be mounted in box 10 x 10" (25.4 x 25.4cm).
Bowl painted black inside. Printed paper card, coloured green, marked with quadrantal points and degrees 0-90, and 90-0 reading to 20'. Single steel bar needle. Stop mechanism for card. Prismatic sight with two shades. Sight vane with dark glass attachment.
