Telescope-15.6" (39.7cm) long, O.G.dia 1.25" (3.2cm). Inverting (missing cross wires). Milled knob on main body for focus at eye-piece. Fitted with O.G. shutter. A spirit level in brass casing 10" (25.4cm) long is set in upper surface of body.
Stand-The telescope is attached to a brass plate 6" (15.2cm) long, 2.25" (5.8cm) wide, by two brass blocks each fitted with two capstan headed levelling screws. A tripod socket head, fitted with four levelling screws, is attached to a spigot at centre of underside.
Compass-Dia. 3.3" (8.5cm) mounted above the telescope and attached to stand by four brass pillars 2.2" (5.4cm) long. Fitted with a tapered edge bar needle 2.25" (5.8cm) long, with a jewelled pivot cap at centre. Graduated to 8 points, (the E and W points are transposed) quadrantally in degrees and anti-clockwise to 360 degs.
