Pocket telescope
The barrel of this hand-held telescope is made of paper in imitation of sharkskin, while the three draw tubes are made of paper. The fittings are of horn and brass, including a brass eyepiece cap, which is possibly of later date. The objective lens assembly is missing. Black stop lines on the draw tubes indicate the telescope's optimum working length.
