Plate
Dessert plate reputedly used by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). It was left by Lady Nelson to her friend Mrs Percy Fanshaw who in turn bequeathed six of the plates to Mrs Fanny Barker. It is porcelain and hand-painted with an unrolled scroll depicting Oriental figures against a background of flowers and whirls.
