Mug
Small creamware mug transfer-printed in black with a stipple portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), inscribed 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON', 'TREFALGAR (sic) 1805', 'NILE 1798. COP'. A laurel spray is paced above the portrait and naval trophies below. The image of Nelson is based on the engraving by J. Chapman, published in December 1798 see PAD3884. The handle is missing.
