Earthenware mug with silver lustre on the rim, base and handle, with a silver lustre flower on either side. It is transfer-printed in black with an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) after Daniel Orme, with ships in the background and trophies below, inscribed on a ribbon above 'ENGLAND EXPECTS THAT EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY' below 'ADMIRAL NELSON' and surrounded by a laurel wreath beneath the portrait 'VICTORY.'
