Jug
Pratt ware jug crudely moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. They have ochre coats with yellow lace, brown hats laced with yellow and unpainted order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded and painted on the neck. In the background, the sea is painted green with a ship on either side of each portrait with the sails outlined in blue and striped blue and ochre. The jug has blue rims and a scroll handle which has been detached. Fleur de lis are moulded around the neck. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
