Jug

A jug decorated with pink lustre and hand-coloured. Below the lip is a black transfer-print of a ship with a red flag, pennant and ensign; below on a ribbon, the Trafalgar signal: 'ENGLAND Expects EVERY MAN TO DO his DUTY'. On a medallion in the centre of the ribbon, around a crown and heart: 'TRAFALGAR VICTORY'. There is a printed verse on either side of the jug within a coloured floral garland: 'CHRIST IS MY PILOT WISE/MY COMPASS IS HIS WORD,/EACH STORM MY SOUL DEFIES,/WHILE I HAVE SUCH A LORD.' 'The loss of gold is much/The loss of health is more/The loss of Christ is such a loss/As no one can restore.'
