Russian merchant ensign (1799-1917)
Russian merchant ensign. Design in use 1799-1917 and revived after 1990. Wool bunting, linen hoist, hand sewn. Rope attached. Three horizontal stripes, white, blue red. The construction of this example suggests that this might be the one captured by Erasmus Ommaney.
