Amelia [ex-Argus] (1851)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan design drawing for the coastguard vessel Amelia [ex-Argus] (1851). The drawing bears the signatures of John Edye [Assistant Surveyor of the Navy and designer 1832-1855] and Isaac Watts [1st Assistant Surveyor 1848-1860]. The plan is noted and returned to Sheerness Dockyard on 21 November 1873 and signed by A Sturdee [Master Shipwright of Sheerness Dockyard 1866-1878]. Another note states the drawing was noted and returned from Devonport Dockyard on 25 February 1896 and signed by W. James [Chief Constructor of Devonport Dockyard 1895-1897]. The drawing is torn and fragile. The drawing is cureently undergoing conservation as of April 2026.
