Coffee pot with lid

Coffee pot with a lid used on RY 'Alberta' 1863. It is in white porcelain and hand-painted with brightly coloured flowers over the glaze. The royal monogram in gold 'VR' is placed below the lip. The pot has a scrolled handle and flared foot and all the rims have gilt borders. The maker's mark is printed on the base and lid. In addition, the mark of the retailer 'J. WHITMAN COWES ROYAL YACHT' is also printed on the base within a belt and buckle border.
