Plate

Dinner plate, as used on RY 'Osborne' 1870. It is made of white porcelain with blue foliage and gilding around the border. In the centre is a blue garter badge inscribed 'HONI . SOIT . QUI . MAL . Y . PENSE'. Printed on the base is the maker's mark and the retailer's name: 'J. WHITMAN . COWES . OSBORNE'.
