Scabbard
The black leather scabbard has two gilt lockets and chape, decorated with lines. The lockets each have a ring and the top locket has on the obverse 'SALTER/ SWORD CUTLER &c/ TO H.R.H. THE/ DUKE OF SUSSEX/ CORNER OF THE ADELPHI/ 75 STRAND/ LONDON'. The scabbard is in four pieces. Three of the pieces are tied together and the small piece is separate.
