An unfinished prospect of Greenwich looking north east from the Royal Observatory

An unfinished prospect of Greenwich looking north east from the Royal Observatory, showing the Royal Naval Hospital, the Queen's House and the new colonnade and east wing of the Royal Naval Asylum (later Royal Hospital School). Several ships lie at anchor in the distance. Pencil annotations identify the Hospital, the Thames and various tree types ('Firs' and 'Elms').

This unfinished drawing is one of a group of three views by Margaret Maskelyne, daughter of Astronomer Royal Nevil Maskelyne (see also ZBA4672 and ZBA4673).
