A foolscap size publication with blue card covers. The title is on the front cover. The album contains 79 photographs pasted in at appropriate places in the text. There are also 113 loose photographs.
The album features photographs relating to salvage in United Kingdom waters during World War II.
Included is a copy of "Notes on Some Typical Salvage Operations, 1939-1944" which was a restricted publication produced and compiled in the Admiralty Salvage Department.
There are ten chapters describing with text and photographs, various aspects of salvage using particular cases as illustration.
