Italian merchant ensign (1848-1946)

Italian merchant ensign (1848-1946) made of wool bunting with a linen hoist. It is machine sewn with the central shield printed onto the fabric. A rope is attached to hoist the ensign. It has three vertical stripes in green, white and red. On the centre stripe is a red shield with the white cross of the House of Savoy within a blue border.
