A grey card bound album with 53 pages and 69 photographs (photo-mechanical process). The album was printed by 'T. AND A. CONSTABLE, EDINBURGH'. Stuck to the front cover is the printed label "THE CRUISE OF THE TANTALLON CASTLE, JUNE MDCCCXCV".
The album also contains a manuscript letter signed by VIPs onboard Tantallon Castle.
This is an album recording the cruise of the Tantallon Castle (1894) to Kiel for the celebrations to mark the opening of the Kiel Canal in June 1895. The album includes the following themes:
