A bound photograph album with 58 leaves and 59 photographs (338mm x 279mm) dry mounted. Both the front and back boards are off. There is a gilt title on the front cover: "HMS QUEEN MARY. Palmers Shipbuilding & Iron Co. Ltd. 1911-1913". The photographs have been dated, but not captioned.
This album is a record of construction at Palmers Co. Ltd., Newcastle, 29th May 1911-30th August 1913, and also includes turbine machinery under construction. The photographs were by W. Parry & Son, South Shields.
