Chart shewing the track of His Majesty's ship Centaur Rear Admiral Sir Samuel Hood K.B. from England to Madeira and back

Single sheet. Coloured manuscript in ink and watercolour. Scale: [circa 1:5,500,000]. The daily wind directions are shown beside the ship's track. Contains six fine watercolour coastal views - Ram Head, Pendennis Castle, the Lizard, the entrance of Cork Harbour, Porto Santo and Madeira. Lieutenant George B. Lawrance R.N., served on HMS Centaur from 10 July 1806 to 15 July 1808. The track and associated observations are believed to have been supplied by Edward Strode, who was Master of HMS Centaur at the time.
