Single sheet. Hand coloured engraving, executed in a hand-written style. This chart was drawn for pilotage of the Thames, with sketches of riverside landmarks.. Scale [ca. 1:200,000 (bar)]. North is at 2 degrees. This ungraduated chart contains a list of reaches and their bearings; a table of banks, shoals and sands with the depth of floods and time of high water at full and change, and illustrations of buoys and beacons. The chart was drawn for pilotage of the Thames, with sketches of riverside landmarks.There is an inset of the Yantlet towards the top of the sheet. The title cartouche is decorated with a sailor and a woman dancing, between an anchor and compass in the foreground and Thames shipping in background.
