Mug
A straight sided white ironstone china mug with a 'finger-grip' handle. It is transfer-printed with a coloured picture of two circus elephants in hats and saddlecloths playing tug of war with the tail of one, and inscribed 'ELDER DEMPSTER LINES CHILDREN'S SERVICE'. Elder Dempster Lines ran services to West Africa and the Canaries from 1881.
