This is a red cloth covered album, containing 24 photographs in window mounts.
The album features merchant shipping, mainly paddle steamers and small general cargo ship, with most of the cargo vessels being ships belonging to L. Hermans.
The album includes the following vessels: Crested Eagle (1925), Golden Eagle (1909), Queen of the Channel (1935), Essex Queen (1897), Queen of Southend (1898), Medway Queen (1924), Charles (1910), Adolphe Urban (1913), Deerhound (1882), Marguerite (1883), Tug John (date unknown), Rosa (1919), Yvonne (1899), Quenast (1903).
