HMS Minotaur (1863) at anchor.
A staboard bow view of Minotaur (1863), a 36-gun armoured iron frigate, at anchor, at possibly Milford Haven. Alongside her are a number of ship's boats and one steam pinnace. Men can be seen on the main (3rd) mast fighting tops with one man out on its main yard.
The date range is based on her alterations in 1875 (mainly to the rig), and her later refit in 1883. By 1880 she had four sets of boat davits, but only three can be seen here, so the fourth has yet to be added.
