Ornament
Shell and plastic arm ornament from Papua New Guinea. It is made of a section of a large sea shell, another three smaller ones and strings of small grey shells string on plastic fishing line. The armlet also encorporates strips of pink plastic bag, pink string and black casing from electric cable. Formerly in the collections of the London Missionary Society.
