Looking back over the stern of HMS 'Aurora' (1913) towards a seaplane carrier and possibly some cruisers.
A view from the port side of the quarterdeck just forward of the after 6 inch gun looking back over the stern. In the background are a line of three ships. The ship closest to 'Aurora' may be the converted seaplane carrier 'Empress' (1907), which was escorted for a raid on 20 March 1915. The other seaplane carriers within the Harwich Force were Engadine, Riviera and Ben-My-Chree, which joined in May 1915 but had gone by June.
