Black basalt, half-length bust of Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) in rear-admiral's full-dress uniform, with one Naval gold medal incised 'NILE' and the ribbon and star of the Order of the Bath. Inscribed on the reverse 'NELSON', 'Wedgwood', 'Pubd July 22nd 1798 R. Shout Sct Holborn'.
