Ship model
A Haig's dimple whisky bottle with a Turk’s head knot around the neck, containing a model of the Thames sailing barge 'Cambria' 1906. The cork is decorated with a medal showing a galleon and inscribed 'DEVS SALVA NOS'. On a label inside the bottle is written 'CAMBRIA Rochester 1977'. The sea is made of plaster, the model is made of wood and shows the ship under sail with the two crewmen on deck. The sails are made of paper, and the rigging made of sewing thread. The bottle is moulded on the base 'A6660 R1 HAIG's UGB'.
'Cambria' was built at Greenhithe and continued to carry cargo to and from London and the Medway until 1970, the last barge to do so. She is currently undergoing restoration.
