Teapot with lid
Earthenware teapot, moulded as a sailor seated on a large coil of rope which forms the bowl of the pot. He holds a folded Union Jack in his outstretched left arm, forming the handle. A third leg forms the spout and the sailor's head and hat forms the lid. The teapot is decorated with coloured glazes, the sailor has a blue jacket, green trousers, white sailor collar and brown hat. The maker's name is moulded on the base.
