Union Flag

British Union Flag (post 1801 pattern). Machine-sewn wool bunting. Worn as a battle flag by HMS 'Engadine' 1914 at the battle of Jutland 31 May 1916. In possession of Leading Signalman Henry York Ganderton. Rope and two Inglefield clips attached. Brass grommets in hoist.
