A plate transfer-printed in colour with a picture of a fairy and flowers. A calendar for 1912 appears on the border of the plate with an inscription at the bottom 'Compliments of J. REYNER, Meats & Ships Stores, Newport News, Va'. There is also a printed maker's mark on the base.
