Two prints of a series of 7 showing the progress of the Infanta Catherine of Braganza from Lisbon to marry Charles II in England. These were created by the Spanish court artist Dirk Stoop to commemorate her journey, and were produced with captions in various languages, including English, Portuguese and German.

This print combines the fifth and seventh images in the series, with German titles and explanations. The fifth shows Catherine's arrival at Portsmouth under the protection of Edward Montagu, Earl of Sandwich, who had accompanied her from Lisbon, and the king's brother James, Duke of York, who met the fleet in the Channel. At Portsmouth Catherine met and married Charles. The final image shows the couple's spectacular river entertainment by the Mayor and livery companies of London on arrival at Whitehall from Hampton Court.

The full set of prints with English inscriptions is also in the collection [PAH4098-PAH4104].
