A slightly distant starboard bow view of a Twaqo type junk under sail at Singapore. Her single lug sail is set and the swim-headed bow has an occuli. She is laden and the hull is decoratively painted. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
