The forecastle deck of a Twaqo two masted type junk at Singapore

On board a Twaqo two masted type junk berthed bow-on to the shore at Singapore showing the forecastle deck. A thin pole mast is set at the bow sloping forward and the tabernacle of the main mast is in the foreground. A windlass is on the starboard side of the forecastle. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
