A starboard broadside view of a Tonkin type junk anchored at Singapore. The vessel is of the three masted type and the lug sails on the fore and main masts are stowed fore and aft. Her small mizzen sail is stowed up against the mizzen mast. She has an awning rigged forward and her port number is 3022. She has an overhanging platform at the stern and her large rudder is perforated. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
