A slightly distant port quarter view of a Tonkin type junk in Singapore harbour. She is of the three masted type and the lug sails are stowed. She has an overhanging platform at the stern. The photographer was at Singapore on four occasions during 1937 and 1938: 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 March to 23 March 1938 and 17 September to 30 September 1938.
