A close starboard bow view of the bow of a Hainan C.S. stern fisher type junk anchored at Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft. Washing is drying on various lines and a large coil of rope is suspended between the fore and main masts. Her port number is 1090HA. Other junks are drying nets in the background. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938.
