On board an Hangchow Bay trader type junk berthed alongside another junk at Shanghai. The photographer is looking forward from the starboard waist abaft the mainmast showing a windlass ahead of the mainmast. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and the tops of her fore and main masts are out of the picture. A steam driven passenger launch and warships are in the background. Negative number P34213 is on board the same vessel. A vertical format negative.
