The Pechili trader type junk 3655 berthed at Weihaiwei with other junks

A port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Pechili trader type junk 3655 berthed with other junks at Weihaiwei She is fitted with a leeboard and a stern gallery. Her port number 3655 is painted twice on the hull and the number 33145 is on a small board at the port quarter. The tops of her main and mizzen masts are out of the picture. The photographer's ship was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938.
