A slightly distant port broadside view of a Weihaiwei trader type junk under sail off Weihaiwei. She has single lug sails set on each mast and she has a sampan on board amidships. Some of her crew are sculling. The photographer's ship was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. The horizon is not level.
