Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base white and sides pale green. The lid is white, with a painted, coloured design of a sailor, standing on the shore, a glass in one hand and a stick in the other, two ships in the background, the toast 'Nelson forever' inscribed above.
