Patch box
        
        Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the lid and sides pale blue. The lid has a pale blue border with white spots, on a white inner border with gilt edges is inscribed 'Victory a cause of animation', 'Nelson with Glory fills the Nation'. The lid is painted with three warships in action. In the centre is a blue star with a gilt border surrounded by white spots, it bears the initial 'N'.
