A round silver box with plain sides. On the lid, a profile portrait of George II, facing left in Roman dress. Legend: 'GEORG . II D. G. FACTA . INVICTUM . TE . PRAEDICANT . SEMPER .' On the base a profile portrait of George III facing right in Roman dress. Legend: 'GEORG. III D. G . FRANGIT . HOSTES . EXTENDIT . IMPERIUM .' It is marked with the makers initials: 'IVN'. The box would originally have held held miniatures showing events during the Seven Years War.
