Box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A circular wooden, black lacquered box. On the lid, under glass, a gilt medallion with a portrait of Nelson after the Wyon medal. Inscribed: 'HOR . VICECOM . NELSON OB PATRIAM PUGNANDO MORT . OCT XXI MDCCCV' (died fighting for his country).
