Trinket box with a portrait Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) on the lid. A black, lacquered, round wooden box. The lid is decorated with a portrait of Nelson wearing a hat (after Lemuel Francis Abbott). His uniform has red lapels. The edge of the lid has a rope twist border. There is a mottled pattern of yellow and gold on the base of the box.
