Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1758-1805
Bronze bust of Nelson similar to the Robinson and Leadbetter Parian-ware type, on a square wooden plinth with a baize-covered base. A label on the base reads: 'Made from cannon taken from the French. Given to the Shipwrecked Marine Association by the Admiralty'. This item is part of the Walter Collection, on loan to the Museum from 1935 and purchased in 1960.
