Portrait plaque
Portrait plaque depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). An embossed gilt-metal circular plaque, depicting Nelson in profile, facing left. He wears uniform but no hat, the shoulders of the bust are draped. Legend: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON BORN 29 SEPR. 1758'. The plaque has a borders of acorns and oak leaves. It is mounted in a turned alabaster frame under glass.
