Pewter trophy won at the Deptford Regatta in 1881.

Two-handled pub tankard or loving cup. Straight sides with a pair of scroll handles, on a raised foot. The front is crudely engraved in a cartouche: '1881. First Deptford Land v Water Regatta WON BY H Huntley.' Underneath the base the edge is engraved in crude pub tankard style: 'The Gift of B. R. Banks, White Hart Inn, Deptford Green'.
H. Huntley was Henry Hunter, owner of the Thames Sailing Barge 'Trident'. He later worked for the Port of London Authority and was skipper of the Harbour Master's launch 'Sherbourne'. The tankard was presented to the NMM by Henry Huntley's grandaughter in 1978.
